Global logistics companies self-service portal

Agmis had the pleasure of co-developing a self-service portal for a global logistics player, the solutions assisted in reaching the clients vision of smooth service delivery, and also enhanced customer experience.

Our client

provides solutions for leading manufacturers and traders in the Nordic region. The logistics giant provides cargo transportation services by air, sea, road, and rail. This wide scope of transportation enables customers to reach remote corners of the world even with cargo that is oversized or non-standard.

Challenge?

Our clients vision was to develop a single-platform which delivers a smooth and seamless experience in cargo delivery. For this purpose it was proposed to create a self-service portal that could be used both by employees and customers. Global cargo delivery can become complex, especially when there is a wide network of partners involved, with this in mind we were tasked to deliver a solution that could provide customers with an easy way to undertake transportation projects and emit the long chain of command (which usually includes ad-hoc phone calls and elongated email exchanges).

Solution?

Real-time monitoring of project stages and changes. The portal was enhanced with Salesforce Sales Cloud functionalities for business. Requests for quotation are submitted and automatically assigned to a service agent, this helps ensure that all communication and documentation between the company and client is found in one place and companies never lose track of incoming requests, details of the order. The platform was also enhanced with a preliminary price quote calculator for cargo delivery. API integrations with third-party logistics companies provides instant price and route quotations for clients.

Outcomes!

  • Preliminary and detailed price quotes for cargo delivery
  • Direct communication with a service agent via chat feature
  • One location for all order related documentations
  • Notification type status updated to order
  • Cargo tracking (TBA)

Tautvydas Buzas, Head of Professional Services at Agmis added:

“For this project, we brought extensive Salesforce and transportation technology domain expertise. Luckily, we are a certified Salesforce partner in the Baltic region and have delivered multiple B2B-oriented projects. Furthermore, we have previously delivered at least 5 high-scale technology projects for the transportation and logistics industry. Thus we were able to provide very precise cost and time estimates for the delivery of the project, as well as foresee the potential challenges that await along the way”
